Grant Parameters

  • Eligibility: Applicants must be a nonprofit organization located in Big Sky or serving the Big Sky community
  • Project Types: Grants are open to capital projects or one-time program costs.
  • Funding Range: We welcome proposals between $50,000 and $100,000.  

Grant Decisions

1.  Applicant Presentations 

  •  All applicants will attend a meeting with the Big Sky Thrift Grant Committee.
  •  At this meeting, applicants will give a short presentation about their project. 
  •  The committee will then provide recommendations on funding. 

2.  Volunteer Review

  •  A list of applications and committee recommendations will be sent to all Big Sky Thrift volunteers. 
  • Volunteers will be invited to vote for approval or provide comments.

 3. Final Decisions

  • The Thrift Grant Committee will review applicant presentations and volunteer feedback to determine final award recommendations. 
  • These recommendations will be forwarded to the Yellowstone Club Community Foundation (YCCF) Board for final approval.        

 Key Dates

  • Application Opens: October 20, 2025
  • Application Closes: November 24th, 2025 
  • Committee Presentations: December 2025 (exact dates to be shared with applicants) 
  • Final Decisions Announced: December 2025
